April Sepich reclaims century old metal ceiling tiles from old buildings all over the Midwest. These tiles are given a multi-layer oil glaze and then sun fired. The resulting pieces have the look of high-fired ceramic. She then combines them with other architectural, industrial and found object elements into dimensional wall sculpture. She also has a line of “Farmhouse” work that utilizes the tin in its natural, chippy, rusty beauty!
